Adult only trip

Postby boncj2 » 27 Aug 2011, 11:01

Hello Small Families, has the adult only activity trip been cancelled? I just came to check the dates for it as I know it was in September, but can't find it. Also, will the China holiday still be happening next year? I didn't go to Tunisia again this year as I really wanted to do China next year and so I was saving up for it, but now I can't see that one either??

Hi Bonnie

I'm sorry but yes, I'm afraid we have had to cancel the off-road weekend because people have left it too late to book and we were on a deadline of 4 weeks. If we'd had sufficient bookings by the deadline, we could have run the weekend and continued to offer it for longer (subject to availability) but as we only had 2 bookings, we had no choice but to cancel. :(

It's a real shame as these activities are such a lot of fun and great conversation peices for the dinner table. Hopefully we will try again in the near future.

What's most frustrating is that we have now had quite a bit of late interest but it's now too late to re-instate the weekend. Exactly the same situation applies to overseas holidays except the deadline is 8 weeks (strictly enforced by the airlines and most hotels).

Regarding China, we can't confirm yet as much will depend on suitable flights, prices etc as to whether it is likely to be affordable but we will keep people informed via the website and newsletters. We are also hoping to offer another Kenya holiday for Easter 2012, however, this is currently coming in rather costly (due to the time of year) so we are looking at trying to get a better deal there also.

Regards - Keith

Thanks for the reply Keith. That really is a shame, but I must admit that I was leaving it untill last minute to decide just because of fitting it in with other things. Well, now I know better for next time! Thanks for the information about China too, I really hope that one goes ahead, but of course .... the cheaper the better!!
