Small Families Holidays


Born of the total lack of any suitable holiday company for single parent families, Small Families Holidays was established in 2001 and was the first tour operator in the UK to specialise in providing escorted group holidays for single parent families both overseas and in the UK.

Founders Allen and Carole (pictured), both have many years travel industry experience. Allen originally founded International Adventure, an adventure company specialising in air and sea travel packages to Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Carole's career in the industry has seen her holding various senior positions within the Rank Organisation (15 years), Aviation Manager for Solo's Holidays (5 years), the UK's largest singles specialist tour operator and for five years prior to starting Small Families Holidays, was the UK Operations Manager for Costa, the luxury Italian cruise line.

Also part of the original management team is Keith And Kam both very experienced in travel having held management positions within specialist areas of the industry.

"Single parents are generally treated as an after thought by holiday firms, who we feel, seem to take the view that they will 'put up' with anything. Not every single parent wants to stay in camp sites, caravans and hostels, so we have resisted 'going down that cheap route'  and pride ourselves on offering only good quality hotel accommodation in high quality clean resorts that are attractive, family friendly and safe."
