Destinations

The Sahara desert covers most of the southern half of Tunisia and, while the popular image is of shifting sands sweeping across a relentlessly barren landscape, the reality is much more enchanting.

Shimmering salt lakes and luxuriant palm trees combine with tantalising mirages and seductive sunsets to create an truly unforgettable experience. 

Tunisia provides an extra thrill for fans of the internationally acclaimed series of Star Wars films, the oasis town of Tozeur was used for the location of Mos Espa on Tatooine, the Skywalkers’ home planet.  Many of the key scenes were indeed shot in and around Tozeur, which is located on the fringes of the Sahara Desert.

Its unusual combination of Islamic culture and European approach makes it the most popular North African holiday destination and with a climate that rarely dips under 20°.

On arriving in Tunisia, you are transferred to the comfortable Hotel Mediterranee in Hammamet for 2 nights to kick off your shoes and unwind, after which you will be ready to head off on your 3 day Tunisian Adventure.
