DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL

From the North
A1 to A14.  Follow the signs to Cambridge and M11 and exit at B1050 Bar Hill.  Take the road over the A14 to the roundabout and take the second exit to the hotel.

From the South
M11 to A14.  Follow the signs for Huntingdon.  Continue along the A14 and exit at the B1050 Bar Hill turning, then take the first turning off the roundabout to the hotel.

Rail
Cambridge Station is approx. 6 miles away.

Airports
Cambridge – 8 miles away.
Stansted – 35 miles away.

FRIDAY 29^th JANUARY
Arrive at the hotel at your leisure throughout the day.  Hotel rooms will be available from 2.30pm. 

The afternoon is free to enjoy the hotel facilities such as the excellent ‘waves Health & Leisure centre’ with it’s lovely indoor pool or maybe spoil yourself and try out some of the beauty treatments (price list available at hotel).  It is possible to play a round of golf (at extra cost) or simply relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Small Families staff will be available at the hotel from approx. 2pm.

7pm - We suggest you meet your Small Families hosts in the hotel bar for pre-dinner drinks (cash basis).  This is the ideal opportunity to meet up with some of your fellow Small Families guests.

A DVD will be shown this evening for the children.

7.30 – 9.30pm  Dinner is in the main restaurant.  We have allocated dining tables in this area so please say that you are with Small Families on entering the restaurant.

PLEASE NOTE:  Dinner is available until 9.30pm.  For those of you arriving after this time, 24 hour room service is available; however, this will be at additional cost.

SATURDAY 30^TH JANUARY
7am – 10am Breakfast is served in the main restaurant.

After breakfast we will provide transportation into Cambridge for those of you wishing to explore this beautiful University City.

10am - For those who wish to spend the morning in Cambridge, please meet in reception for the courtesy bus departing for Cambridge (Arrival back at the hotel approx. 2.30pm)

3pm - Parent time!  Your Small Families hosts will happily spend some time with your children.  To use the swimming pool, children must be accompanied by an adult. We will have a host in the swimming pool area to chaperone the children so that you don’t have to!  However, the host is not a lifeguard!

There will also be a host in the Augusta room for Arts & Crafts.

4.30pm - Time to reclaim your children!

7pm - Party Night.  Meet your Small families hosts. The private bar in the Augusta Room will be open for your complimentary Welcome Drink before dinner (please bring the drinks voucher supplied to you on arrival at the hotel).

7.30pm - Dinner is served in the Cambridgeshire Suite after which, we will have our own disco and private dance floor until late. 

The children will be entertained during and after dinner by Magic Olly. Olly’s is brilliant with the children and his show includes balloon models, puppets, side splitting magic and much more.  This year Olly will be taking care of the disco as well as entertaining the children.

The day is at leisure but please ensure that your room is vacated and any hotel account settled by 11am.  Luggage may be left in reception until you are ready to depart if you don’t have a car.
